Brook Gibson

Licensed Dental Hygienist · Oklahoma & Missouri

Brook Gibson was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and received her Dental Hygiene license in 2001. She entered the dental profession equipped with expanded functions in Nitrous Oxide Administration and Local Anesthetic, and added Therapeutic Laser certification upon completion of required education in 2011.

Brook's dental journey began in high school, earning her assisting certificate from Tulsa Technology Center before going on to earn her hygiene degree — which gave her a passion for crafting beautiful smiles and fostering enduring patient relationships. With a compassionate approach, Brook excels at alleviating patient anxieties and making every dental visit a positive experience.

Beyond clinical practice, Brook serves as a hygiene training and onboarding specialist at Lumio Dental, collaborating with Tulsa Technology Center to shape the next generation of dental professionals through hands-on training for high school dental assisting students. She has taught dental assisting expanded function courses through DCI for several years and provides dental offices with CPR education as a certified AHA CPR instructor.

Brook's vision — and the foundation of Learn Today Dental Education — is to bring tailored expanded function dental assisting classes directly to dental offices, fostering personalized learning experiences. Guiding dental assistants to reach their full potential isn't just her profession; it's her true passion.

Kelcie Troutman

RDH, BSDH · Director of Hygiene, Lumio Dental

Kelcie Troutman was born and raised in LeRoy, Kansas, and attended Emporia State University before earning her Dental Hygiene degree from Flint Hills Technical College — graduating Summa Cum Laude in May 2011. She became a licensed dental hygienist for Kansas in 2011 and has been licensed in Oklahoma since 2019.

Throughout her career, Kelcie has been deeply committed to community outreach — serving underserved populations including special needs, geriatric, and pediatric patients. She piloted and implemented a nursing home dental program in Southeast Kansas from 2012–2014, and partnered with special needs group homes to provide on-site dental screenings.

Kelcie joined Lumio Dental in 2020 and quickly grew from clinical hygienist to Director of Hygiene, overseeing hygiene teams in 70+ offices across six states. In this role, she is responsible for implementing new clinical procedures, onboarding and training newly acquired clinicians, mentorship, and ensuring expanded function CE opportunities for dental teams throughout the organization.

Kelcie holds a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from Wichita State University with a strong emphasis on leadership and community outreach. She is a passionate mentor and teacher who thrives on sharing knowledge with dental teams at every stage of their careers.

Claudia Sosa

Dental Assistant · CPR/BLS Instructor · OSHA Compliance Inspector

Originally from Guatemala City and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Claudia Sosa is bilingual in Spanish and English. After graduating from Nathan Hale High School, she pursued her foundational education at TCC. Since 2008, Claudia has dedicated herself to the field of dentistry, demonstrating over twenty years of proficiency in expanded functions for Radiation Safety, Coronal Polishing, Sealants, and Nitrous Oxide Administration.

As a Regional Clinical Leader, Claudia oversaw the Oklahoma region and managed a team of 250 individuals — providing comprehensive training, coaching, and support to enhance patient management, operational efficiency, and clinical team development. She has taught expanded function courses in Oklahoma through the Dental Careers Institute for seven years.

Claudia currently serves as the Clinical Integrations Manager at Lumio Dental LLC, where she delivers training and onboarding programs for newly promoted lead dental assistants and new hires across DENOVO and newly acquired offices. She is also a certified CPR/BLS Instructor and a certified OSHA Compliance Inspector, bringing invaluable real-world compliance knowledge to every course she teaches.
